It’s 11:21pm, and I wrote the BEST blog post ever. Says, I.
And then I didn’t. Press. Save.
Crazy long day working. I want to grab my blankie.
So here are the dot points…of the latest best blog ever for Day 4 that was ‘meant to be’…
- Called around 8.30 pm. 220km of hard yakka today. Harder than he was expecting
- Self-appointed suffering. His choice though
- Philosophised about why this choice is made. No clear conclusion, but sounded so Buddhist-like awesome.
- Got to Ubobo too late for food. But has shelter. And had the best host – Kaye.
- Has to crack up over the Kroombit Mountain tomorrow – big inclines – so nuts
- Hot today.
- Almost cooked himself by reading ‘water supplies’ notes wrong. Luckily, a work truck came past at the 300ml left ‘gimme water’ stage and gave Willy three bottles of water to get him through. Thank you, whoever you are. Here’s 100K.
- Big hill tomorrow. It’s going to be a killer. Can presently see one of the riders halfway up and they left ages ago. It looks scary
- Mt Larcom is the next stop, then Rockhampton. Who knows when
- Then what? West i.e. turn left to Uluru. Dunno. Too far ahead.
OK, off to bed. My eyes resemble the MapProgress logo.
Come. On. Willy!
Whether to Uluru or Rockhampton, I know you can get this job done.

Go Willy!!!
You’ve got this. You *love* hills. And you are the most determined man I’ve ever met.
Up, over, down, and away!
And, “Go West, young man!” (with apologies to Horace Greeley ?)
Enough of the young, Tony! His head will swell as big as his knees are right now. Thank you for being so supportive again!

I’m a huge fan of this amazing guy ?
And of *your* unwavering support of his cross-country ‘jaunts’. ? Thank you for again providing this wonderful blog and the updates. Greatly appreciated by all of us.
